The Thwaite Howe C ountry H ouse Hotel was built of local stone in the 1860s, situated in its own attractive grounds of two and a half acres. Thornthwaite Forest provides a stunning backdrop to the rear, and the house stands in an elevated position looking across the Derwent Valley to the magnificent mountain views of Skiddaw, Blencathra and Helvellyn.

Located near Keswick on the Cockermouth road an ideal location for the Lakeside or Fell Top walkers of all levels, with Golfers welcome at both Keswick and Penrith courses.
